The Wild Forgotten
Come follow me to the grove, where we can sit under the ancient trees, sink our fingers into soft moss, listen to the rustle of tiny padded feet in the leaf litter, watch the birds flit through tree filtered light and listen to them sing.
Hello my fellow wildling.
I am an Australian fine artist and writer enthralled with all things wild (inside and out), creating detailed wildlife portraits, examining our relationship to the wild world including through elder-women archetypes, and striving to embody a grounded, kind and creative life in a modern, chaotic world.
I am also a writer. I paint words the same way that I sing artworks, and I have a special place for that work.
It is called The Wild Forgotten and it is hosted on a platform that is perfect for gathering and sharing (without all the noise of social media), Substack.
The Wild Forgotten is where I share
longer form writing about being a creative,
deeper thoughts about being a wildlife artist,
what I am working on right now and
how that informs my relationship with the wild, and most importantly,
where we can actually interact as a community.
All are welcome at The Wild Forgotten.
Come join me in curiosity and wonder at the wild.
